Frequently asked questions
From picking a photo to saving and sharing, open the question you need.
Getting started
Which files can I use?
Still JPEG, PNG and WebP images. Up to ten photos at once. Each can be up to 24 megapixels, 20 MiB and 8,192 pixels a side. Photos over 12 megapixels are shrunk on your device for editing, and the new size is shown; the original file is untouched. Past 32 megapixels or 64 MiB in total, or when memory runs short, you may be asked for fewer or smaller photos.
Covering photos
Does it find faces or license plates automatically?
The shutter can find faces and place stickers, but it does not automatically find license plates or names. Check and cover any missed faces and text yourself.
Can I recover a session after closing the tab?
Normal edits to photos picked directly in the editor stay in memory. Refreshing or closing the tab may lose them. If GarimPic remains in an earlier installed app’s share menu, do not use it; pick files directly in the editor. See the privacy notice for the on-device photo cache an earlier share may leave behind.
Saving & sharing
Why look before saving?
Before saving, look over the whole photo and its edges. After any change, check the result again. Save or share right away. Each photo in a set gets its own look; any that fail stay marked and are never swapped for originals.
Cost & help
Do I need an account or a payment?
No. Covering, checking and saving need no account, ad consent, donation or payment. There are no paid products; optional support happens on the external Buy Me a Coffee site.
Where can I contact the operator?
Write to [email protected] with inquiries. Please do not send original photos, passwords or payment details.
